Recycling Matters

Recycling has several clear benefits:

Landfills take up space and are an eyesore for people living nearby. But when plastic is recycled, we turn waste material into reusable goods. That means less waste in our landfills and less consumption of natural resources such as oil and natural gas.

Compared to new plastic, the recycling process is energy efficient. Recycling plastics uses about 10% of the energy it takes to make a pound of plastic from virgin materials.
